What do you think about the governments proposal to Mondaynise it? (Where they will pass a bill saying that it has to be on the first Monday in Feb every year instead of on the 6th Feb.) The English and Maori were at war for a very long time, and my guess is that we had the treaty because they didn't want to wage war anymore. But we celebrate this day because, well, we still might be having war!!!
