Learn-a-thon

On Friday last week we did the learn-a-thon. The seniors had to do 50 questions, the middles had to do 50 questions as well and the juniors had to do 20 questions.
In room12 everyone did really well. There was 2 people that got 50/50 and that was Jaime and Justice but everyone else tried really hard and did really well.

Here is a sneak peek on some questions that the seniors did...

Question: Which NZ cricketer recently conquered MT Everest?
Answer: Adam Parore

Question: What group of people built the sphinx?
Answer: the Egyptians

So congratulations to all those children that tried their best in the learn-a-thon!

Volcano eruption

On Sunday a volcano erupted in the Caulle Cordon area of southern Chile and is still erupting now it has been shooting out stones and a cloud of ash 10 kilometres high and nearly 5km wide WOW!
Today Wednesday 8th of June we have been doing lots of fun math in the triangles we were doing things about fractions and how to join two fractions together to make it into one fraction.


We also learnt to simplify the fracrtion.

Four R's

At assemblies the student councilors have been picking students that have been showing one of the four R's and this week Aotea was picked for reflection. He was picked because he has been reflecting on his day and learning with the teacher at the end of the day.
So congratulation's Aotea for being picked :)
