The violent storm was... ( Courtney )

The last thing I remember was seeing the thrashing tornado whizzing towards me. I shrieked as it hit .Then all went black. I woke up in hospital a few days later. I sat up as Mum popped a piece of chocolate in my mouth. I looked around and saw my baby cousin with a sheet over her head. Tears sprung to my eyes as I realized I wasn’t the only one affected by the storm. The tears rolled down my cheeks. I asked where Dad was but suddenly I didn’t want to know any more. The violent storm was tragic.

The Violent Storm Was... (Brooke)

One sunny day I was rolling in the grass with my friends, then suddenly the sun was hidden by the soft, white clouds.  Those soft white clouds turned into dark gray, smoke like clouds.  Leaves blew in the strong wind forming mini tornadoes.  Children ran for cover to their homes to stay dry.  Drops of rain fell from the sky and quickly it turned into golf ball size drops exploding on the roof. Leaks appeared and pottery was blown off its shelves.  The violent storm was taking place.  Finally it stopped, leaving destruction behind.  “Mum, how can we clean up?”

The Violent Storm Was...

The gale force winds woke me up as they thundered against the window pane. I told myself it was just a little bit of rain when suddenly the boom of the thunder and the split second flash of lightning erupted into the sky. As quick as a flash I was under the covers hugging Mr Snuggles my cute teddy bear. A shudder ran through my spine as the rain poured down, I was petrified.  I let my mind wander to all the bad things that could happen to our old 1950’ cottage. This violent storm was the worst in centuries.

The Violent Storm Was...

The howling winds of the storm kept me up all through the night. As I lay in my cosy bed I wondered what would happen to our old Victorian home. Would the roof cave in or would the windows smash? The storm might even be capable of completely ripping the house to pieces? Oh how I couldn’t bare the thought of possibly having no house to stay in the next morning.  The violent storm was destroying anything and everything in its path.  As quickly as the storm came it disappeared to reveal the treacherous, ugly mess it had left behind.

                             THE STORM

There I was just outside when it started, THE STORM, it surprised me and made me run. The rain fell like bullets from a machine gun. It roared like a lion protecting her cubs. The violent storm was so big the thunder was a blast of sound. The lightning was so big that it took down a house. Everyone started to rush to lock the doors. Hail was the size of golf balls but then a miracle happened, it started to fade away. The clouds turned white again I was so happy that it was finally over... till next time...
