On Wedensday the 21st of November the middle and senior athletics here are some awesome photos.

Butter tasting

In room 12 we made butter.

Lots of people enjoyed making butter.

We got to try our butter with bread.

It was delicious.

One group made garlic butter because they had a garlic jar.

They said it was disgusting!

Team 12 has been signed up to sumdog.com  and we have invited our quadblog buddies to have a go to.  This week is our focus week so we set the challenge to have a go and see how many coins you can earn over the week.

One Thursday we had tabloids sports we had lots of activities. There were water activites,egg spoon races, sack races and more, the whole school was split into groups . It was an exciting day. Here are some photos.

Our Deskmats

Here are some of our completed deskmats. We use these for pressing boards if we are working on the mat or when we are colouring so we don't scribble on our desks.

We were learning about the warm and cool colour families. We used this learning to do the artwork for our deskmats. We had to choose three warm of cool colours to draw our name then choose the opposite colour family for the background colour.

Yesterday was Waitangi Day in New Zealand. Here is what we think Waitangi Day is about and why we celebrate it.

Quad blogging

Quad blogging begins January 16th

This term we will be part of “Quad Blogging” with the following three classes from around the world. Here’s how it works:

“In a quad blog, four classes collaborate to promote writing and interactions between students and teachers. The process runs for four weeks with each class gaining the spotlight for one week. When it is our turn, we post activities and information on this blog for the other three classes to interact with”. Mr Millers classroom blog

Quad blogging will be heaps of fun because we will meet new people around the world, have people commenting on our blog and maybe even learn a new language J This year, we will be blogging with The Fabulous 6D’s in the UK, mrmillersblog.com in the USA, and ZER Vent Serè in Spain.
